Year of the Goat\u2019s live performances are nothing short of spellbinding. Whether commanding massive festival stages at Wacken, Hellfest, Sweden Rock, and Roadburn or delivering intimate club shows filled with eerie atmosphere, the band\u2019s presence is captivating. Their performances transcend mere concerts, they are dark rituals, rich in emotion and theatricality . From haunting harmonies to intense, hypnotic instrumentation, each show leaves audiences entranced and craving more.<\/p>\n

Since their formation in 2006, Year of the Goat have been crafting dark, melodic rock deeply rooted in the sounds of the \u201960s and \u201970s. The Swedish band blends atmospheric guitars, haunting organ melodies, and multi-layered vocals to create a unique, occult-tinged sound.<\/p>\n

Their debut EP Lucem Ferre (2011) paved the way for the critically acclaimed album Angels\u2019 Necropolis (2012), which brought them international recognition. Follow-up albums The Unspeakable (2015) and Novis Orbis Terrarum Ordinis(2019) further solidified their reputation, with the latter earning top spots in magazines like Rock Hard and Metal Hammer. Currently, the band is working on their fourth studio album while also contributing music to the film Heavy Trip 2.<\/p>\n

Balancing nostalgia with fresh innovation, Year of the Goat continue to be one of the most intriguing and mesmerizing forces in the dark rock scene.

Firmament \u2013 A Ride Across the Midnight Sky <\/p>\n

The quintet plays Heavy Rock\/Metal in the sonic style of the 1970s. Drawing inspiration from everything the night sky has to offer in terms of rock music, the band unites influences from various phases of music history \u2013 from proto-metal to NWOBHM. Their sound feels familiar yet ventures into new territory \u2013 a time travel experience connecting past and future. Firmament blend the characteristic trademarks of these eras into a sound that resonates not only in the ear but, above all, in the heart. <\/p>\n

Since 2022, the classic line-up of drums, bass, twin guitars, and vocals has brought their epic, dark, yet classic heavy sound to the stage. The band has performed at festivals such as Muskelrock, Starlett Stock, and Trveheim, establishing themselves as a captivating live act that has received highly positive feedback from the press, the scene, and fans alike. <\/p>\n

This is built on the songs from their 2023 debut album We Don\u2019t Rise, We Just Fall (Dying Victims Productions) and their last EP Gathered Under Open Skies. Now, Firmament open the second chapter of their story with their new album For Centuries Alive, to be released on September 19, 2025, via Dying Victims Productions. With dedication to their new work, Firmament explore new sonic and lyrical worlds \u2013 celebrating \u201cHer Majesty\u201d \u2013 music in all its glory. <\/p>\n
